T.I. to Start Serving Prison Sentence Today

T.I. (born Clifford Harris) is set to begin serving an 11-month sentence for probation violation at Arkansas' Forest City minimum security prison today (November 1).

The violation stems from Tip's arrest in Hollywood last month. As previously reported, the rapper and his wife Tiny were cuffed after cops said they smelled marijuana, then searched their Maybach and found ecstasy and codeine. The king of the south was already on probation for his federal gun possession conviction at the time of the arrest. He was released from prison last December after serving seven months of a one-year sentence. Tiny was eventually charged for possession of ecstasy.

It's been a rough month for T.I. since his arrest. First, he helped rescue a suicide jumper only a few days before his scheduled court hearing, which caused the media to question the nature of his good deed. In speaking with BET, he maintained that his rescue wasn't a publicity stunt to gain the favor of the judge.

The following week, Tip was dropped from the Axe body spray campaign. Four days later, news spread that he'd also lost his endorsement with Rémy Martin Cognac. Now, the time has come for T.I. to return to Forest City, the same facility where he served his time for gun possession. Like many rappers before him, he heads to jail as his album is about to hit stores. "King Uncaged," which has already been pushed back several times, has now been re-titled, "No Mercy," and will be released December 7.

Meanwhile, T.I.'s food menu has already surfaced online. Log on as BET.com continues to cover T.I. throughout his sentence. See below for T.I.'s culinary options.
